265 m long and 68 m wide, offering a total surface area of 18,000 m², the flat-roofed building is located in the lower section of the loop of Rue des Labours, in the slope of the pitched embankment towards Parc Klosegrënnchen. The plans for the ensemble were drawn up by the architects’ office M3 architects. The building was officially opened in early 2006. The functions – outpatients, in-patients and an intermediate wing comprising offices for the doctors, psychologists, social workers and administrative staff – are “stacked” in height in the 8-metre slope of the terrain. The basement houses 296 parking spaces, directly linked to the services on the various floors, supplemented by 64 outdoor parking spaces which enable out-patients attending the day clinic to have flat-level access to healthcare services.
