The Fonds is recruiting an Archivist - Records Manager

The Fonds is seeking to strengthen its teams by recruiting a full-time employee on a permanent contract for the following role : Archivist – Records Manager (m/f/d) - Permanent contract – 40 hours per week - Grade A1-

The Fonds d’urbanisation et d’aménagement du Plateau de Kirchberg, also known as the Fonds Kirchberg, is a financially independent public body operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works.

Your role:

You will be responsible for all archiving tasks relating to the Fonds’s activities.

  • Collecting, filing, sorting, describing and depositing or destroying records, in accordance with laws, regulations and procedures;
  • Producing and updating archiving procedures and guidelines for both paper and digital records: filing plan, naming convention, classification system, archiving policy and best practice.
  • Regularly updating the sorting table
  • Participating in the implementation of documents relating to issues of collection, classification, description and digital preservation;
  • Auditing and analysing the quality of data and metadata, and ensuring the harmonisation of management systems;
  • Analysing document life cycles and managing access;
  • Management of archive rooms and inventories
  • Providing user support for document search requests;
  • Organising awareness-raising and training initiatives for departments and users on the proper management of their digital documents, and producing dedicated resources.
  • Developing transfer and disposal procedures in conjunction with the National Archives.

Your profile:

Education:

  • You hold a degree (equivalent to five years of higher education) in the field of archiving
  • You are a citizen of the European Union
  • You have at least five years’ experience in similar projects
  • You are proficient in the archival techniques used by records managers
  • You have a solid grounding in databases, are familiar with the Arcateg method, and can design and use sorting tables and filing plans
  • You have a good understanding of archiving standards and legislation (archiving laws, GDPR, etc.)
  • You have strong analytical and writing skills and enjoy working as part of a team

Your strengths:

  • You demonstrate a high degree of discretion and are able to work in complete confidentiality.
  • You have experience in one or more of the following areas: SharePoint, paper archiving, electronic archiving, the National Archives, town planning and/or architecture, etc.
  • You have good IT skills.
  • You are familiar with or have a connection to the National Archives.
  • You have good organisational skills and are able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Language skills:

  • Fluency in spoken and written French; fluency in German would be an advantage;
  • A good knowledge of English and Luxembourgish is desirable.

The role

  • You will be remunerated under a private-law contract, with pay in line with the salary scale for career category A1 civil servants.
