Press conference: Garden of multlinguism
Covering an area of 1.15 ha, the Garden of multilinguism will be created on the land reserve of the Kirchberg Fund which became available following the demolition of the Jean Monnet building. With this temporary garden, the Fund, with the support of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), will offer a place to relax to the approximately 10,000 people who frequent the European quarter every day. Located at the foot of the towers where the Court's lawyer-linguists and interpreters work, the garden, designed by the French landscape architect Michel Desvigne, will pay tribute to the linguistic diversity of the European Union.
