The annual report is reinvented

At a time when digitalisation of our daily lives has accelerated due to the effects of the health crisis, the Kirchberg Fund is going on the front foot by reinventing the presentation of its annual report.

. Initially, the idea was to take this document online, to reduce the consumption of resources. But then the question presented itself: how do you go about replacing the pleasure of a publication you can touch, smell, leaf through and even wear out by reading? The things which, in print, invite you to read on can readily discourage the reader and become sadly prosaic in a PDF document.

For that reason, the Fund has opted to explore the potential of digital for making the annual report more engaging, with interactive multimedia elements such as videos, motion design and data visualisation.

Another innovation is that the annual report has taken on a more narrative style. It puts the story that each project tells at the heart of the written text, letting their protagonists speak. Whether that be the decision-makers, the architects, the urban designers, the craftsmen, the developers or institutional partners: the Kirchberg is being built thanks to the many talents and competencies of the men and women who support the Fund’s ambitions.
